My name is Annemieke and I live in The Netherlands where I draw under the name Miekes Makes. Since the age of 3 I have Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. My hands are different, but I've always loved creating things with them.
As a self-taught illustrator I like to work with watercolors and ink, and often mix handmade with digital. I daily dream of pretty patterns, cute cards, sweet children book illustrations, beautiful book covers and animated illustrations.
Besides drawing I love music, art time with the little ones at preschool, exploring old cities, crackling fireplaces, simple living, cups of herbal tea & poffertjes.
